COLD is putting finishing touches on its fifth album, "Epic" for a late May release via SonicStar Records. Two of the new songs — "My Religion" and "Welcome 2 My World" — have already made their way online.
COLD released its self-titled debut album in the summer of 1998. After steadily building a solid touring base, the band returned in 2000 with its sophomore effort, "13 Ways to Bleed on Stage", which peaked at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and brought the band its first appearance within the Top 100 on The Billboard 200 chart. In 2003, COLD scored its biggest hit to date with "Stupid Girl" (co-written by WEEZER's Rivers Cuomo) off "Year of the Spider". The smash single went to #4 at Mainstream Rock and #6 at Modern Rock. "Year of the Spider" went all the way to #3 on The Billboard 200 chart, followed by "A Different Kind of Pain" in 2005, which went to #26 on the same chart.
"Miracle", the new single from Ft. Lauderdale hard rock quartet NONPOINT, will be available for download on iTunes and online music retail sites on March 30. The forthcoming album, also titled "Miracle", will be released April 27 via the band's own 954 Records in partnership with Rocket Science Ventures / RED / Sony.
Last December, NONPOINT released a digital EP, "Cut the Cord", featuring acoustic versions of NONPOINT classics, including "What A Day" and "Circles", to rave reviews. With a new guitarist, new management, and a new label, NONPOINT has returned stronger than ever.
MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH members Chad Gray and Greg Tribbett produced the forthcoming album. Chad Gray says, "I've been a friend and fan of NONPOINT for ten years. To have the opportunity to work with them artistically from a production level was amazing. I was elated when asked to sing on a track. They're all great guys and great friends and I've very proud to have been a part of this process. The sky is the limit for what these guys are capable of."
Formed in 1998, the hard rock quartet from Ft. Lauderdale burst on the scene with its major label debut, "Statement", on MCA Records. Since then, they have sold nearly 700,000 albums and played over 1,000 shows. Known for its dynamic performances, NONPOINT has shared the stage with acts such as MUDVAYNE, SEVENDUST, DISTURBED, HELLYEAH, DROWNING POOL and PAPA ROACH, as well as touring with Ozzfest.
